Fitness Program Aims to Improve Health of Local Seniors

Each and every Tuesday at the Armory, above 100 nearby seniors get for an hour of work out, physical fitness classes, and balanced living conversations with school, staff, and learners from Columbia University Irving Medical Centre.  

The Seniors Intention Superior system, a collaboration amongst The Armory Basis and the CUIMC Place of work of Local community Service Courses, provides totally free health possibilities for older older people ages 60 and above from Washington Heights-Inwood, Harlem, and the South Bronx. In the course of the physical fitness session, Armory exercise coaches Phyllis Spencer and Francyna Evans energetically direct participants in a selection of physical exercises tailor-made for all levels of health capability.
