Toby Keith shares health update amid battle with stomach cancer

“Last drop I was identified with stomach most cancers,” he wrote. “I’ve invested the final 6 months acquiring chemo, radiation and surgical procedures. So much, so superior. I need time to breathe, get better and unwind.”

He additional: “I am hunting ahead to paying this time with my family members. But I will see the followers sooner than later on. I cannot hold out.”

The “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” singer subsequently canceled all of his planned shows for the rest of the calendar year. However, he made a shock visual appeal at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Ky. on Nov. 4, wherever he reportedly performed songs which includes “I Enjoy This Bar” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet House Alabama.”

On Nov. 8, Keith was offered with the BMI Icon Award at the BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tenn, becoming a member of a prestigious list of past recipients that includes Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn and Hank Williams, Jr.

Keith is a longtime advocate for people struggling with cancer diagnoses, and helped discovered Ally’s Residence in 2004, a nonprofit team that helps Oklahoma children with cancer and their families.

The nonprofit was named just after Allison Webb, the two-calendar year-old daughter of Keith’s original band member’s Scott Webb and spouse Lisa. Allison died in 2003 of kidney cancer in advance of her 3rd birthday.
